Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to appointments and services provided by Magda Sports Therapy.

By booking or attending an appointment, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

1. About the practice

Magda Sports Therapy is operated by Magdalena Kozak, an independent sports therapist based in Streatham Hill, London SW16.

Contact details:

Email: magdasportstherapy@gmail.com
Telephone: 07934 248 251

2. Nature of the services

Magda Sports Therapy provides sports therapy services for musculoskeletal pain, injuries, movement difficulties and rehabilitation.

Services may include:

  • consultation and assessment;
  • sports massage and soft-tissue techniques;
  • manual therapy;
  • movement and exercise advice;
  • rehabilitation planning;
  • electrotherapy, where appropriate;
  • education and self-management advice.

Services are not a substitute for emergency medical care, diagnosis by a medical doctor or specialist treatment where this is required.

No specific result, recovery time or permanent resolution of symptoms can be guaranteed.

3. Booking an appointment

Appointments may be arranged through the website, email, telephone, WhatsApp or another agreed method.

A booking is confirmed when Magda Sports Therapy accepts the appointment and communicates confirmation to you.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and notifying the practice if your details change.

4. Prices and payment

Current prices are displayed on the website or communicated before the appointment.

Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due on the day of the appointment.

Accepted payment methods will be confirmed by the practice.

Prices may change from time to time. Any price change will not affect an appointment already confirmed at an agreed price unless you have been informed and accepted the change.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

The following policy normally applies:

  • 24 hours or more before the appointment: no cancellation fee;
  • less than 24 hours before the appointment: up to 50% of the appointment fee may be charged;
  • failure to attend without notice: up to 100% of the appointment fee may be charged.

A cancellation charge will not be applied automatically without considering the circumstances.

The practice may reduce or waive the charge where there is a genuine emergency, serious illness or another reasonable exceptional circumstance.

Any cancellation charge will be intended to reflect the reserved appointment time and the reasonable loss caused by the cancellation, rather than act as a penalty.

6. Late arrival

If you arrive late, the appointment may need to end at the originally scheduled time to avoid delaying the next client.

The full appointment fee may still apply.

If the delay means that treatment cannot be provided safely or meaningfully, the appointment may need to be rearranged and the cancellation policy may apply.

7. Cancellation by the practice

Magda Sports Therapy may cancel or rearrange an appointment because of illness, emergency, unsafe conditions or another unavoidable reason.

Where this happens, you will not be charged for the cancelled appointment.

The practice will aim to provide as much notice as reasonably possible but will not be responsible for indirect losses such as travel costs, loss of earnings or childcare expenses, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Distance bookings and cooling-off rights

Where an appointment is booked online, by telephone, email or another distance method, you may have a legal right to cancel the service contract within 14 days.

If you request an appointment to take place during this 14-day period, you are asking the practice to begin providing the service before the cooling-off period has ended.

Where the service has already been fully provided at your request, the right to cancel may end once the service has been completed.

Where only part of the service has been provided before cancellation, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for the service already supplied.

These rights do not affect any separate right you may have where the service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill.

9. Health information and informed consent

You must provide information that is accurate and relevant to your treatment, including information about:

  • current symptoms;
  • medical conditions;
  • medication;
  • allergies;
  • pregnancy;
  • surgery;
  • injuries;
  • changes in your health;
  • any reason why treatment or exercise may not be appropriate.

You must tell the therapist immediately if you feel unwell, uncomfortable or experience unexpected symptoms during treatment.

Before treatment begins, the therapist will explain the proposed approach and obtain your consent.

You may ask questions, refuse any technique or withdraw consent at any time.

10. Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is used only where the therapist considers it appropriate and after relevant safety screening.

It may not be suitable in certain circumstances, including some implanted electrical devices, pregnancy over particular areas, active infection, open wounds, recent fracture or suspected serious pathology.

Electrotherapy is an optional part of treatment and does not replace assessment, education, exercise or rehabilitation.

You should disclose all relevant health information before electrotherapy is used.

11. Exercise and rehabilitation advice

Exercises and rehabilitation recommendations are based on the information available at the time of the appointment.

You are responsible for:

  • following instructions carefully;
  • stopping an exercise if it causes severe, unusual or concerning symptoms;
  • informing the therapist of changes in your condition;
  • seeking urgent medical attention where appropriate.

Temporary muscle soreness or fatigue may sometimes occur after treatment or exercise.

If you experience severe pain, loss of strength, significant numbness, breathing difficulty, chest pain, loss of bladder or bowel control, or another serious symptom, seek urgent medical help.

12. Clients under 18

A parent or legal guardian must normally provide consent for a client under 18.

A parent, guardian or another responsible adult may be required to remain present during the appointment, depending on the client’s age, maturity and circumstances.

The young person’s own views, privacy and consent will also be respected as far as appropriate.

The practice may refuse or stop treatment if suitable consent or safeguarding arrangements are not in place.

13. Personal belongings

You are responsible for your own belongings while attending an appointment.

Magda Sports Therapy is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property unless caused by negligence that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Conduct and safety

Clients must behave respectfully towards the therapist and anyone else present.

The practice may refuse, stop or cancel a session where there is:

  • threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour;
  • harassment or sexualised behaviour;
  • intoxication;
  • unsafe conduct;
  • refusal to follow reasonable safety instructions;
  • any situation in which the therapist does not feel safe.

Where an appointment is ended because of serious inappropriate conduct, the fee may remain payable.

15. Privacy and clinical records

Personal and health information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Clinical notes may be created and retained to support safe care, professional standards, insurance requirements and legal obligations.

Please read the Privacy Policy for more information about how personal data is collected, used and stored.

16. Photographs, testimonials and reviews

Photographs, videos, testimonials or case examples will not be used for marketing without appropriate permission.

Where consent is given, it may be withdrawn for future use by contacting the practice.

Withdrawal does not necessarily require removal of material that has already been lawfully printed, distributed or published where removal is not reasonably possible.

17. Website information

Information on this website and blog is provided for general education only.

It is not personalised medical advice and should not be used to diagnose or treat a condition without an appropriate professional assessment.

Magda Sports Therapy aims to keep website information accurate and current but does not guarantee that all content will always be complete, error-free or suitable for every individual.

18. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please contact:

magdasportstherapy@gmail.com

Please explain:

  • what happened;
  • when it happened;
  • what outcome you are seeking.

The practice will aim to acknowledge the complaint promptly and respond fairly within a reasonable time.

Raising a complaint will not affect your right to seek independent advice or use any other legal remedy available to you.

19. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Magda Sports Therapy will not be responsible for loss caused by:

  • incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the client;
  • failure to follow advice or safety instructions;
  • use of exercises or recommendations in a way that was not advised;
  • an underlying condition that could not reasonably have been identified;
  • events outside the practice’s reasonable control.

Any limitation of liability in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by law.

20. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when services, prices, practice procedures or legal requirements change.

The version that applies to an appointment will normally be the version in effect when the appointment is booked, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer rights that apply to you under UK law.
